    Primary forest on undulating terrain, in places dissected by many small stream. Soil sandy in many places. Common. No Guadua, but strong presence of Bertholletia and Tetragastris altissima s.l.

    Tree. Tree to 20m, trunk cylindric, outer bark brown, fissured, inner bark rose. Calyx green, corolla greenish-cream. Most individuals in flower. Photo. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
