    Mobile/Tenesaw Lowlands: slightly raised areas close to river within Taxodium distichum swamp, with Fraxinus profunda, F. pennsylvanica, Ulmus americana, Betula nigra, (Liquidambar), (Quercus nigra), (Q. laurifolia), Itea, Alnus, Ilex verticillata; Persicaria hydropiperoides, Symphyotrichum lanceolatum var. latifolium, Cicuta maculata, ?Zizaniopsis, Physostegia virginiana (robust form).

    Tree, 4 dm dbh, 15 m tall. Fruit collected from larger tree; shoots from nearby smaller.
