Steep, narrow canyon in N-facing limestone cliff with Prunus.
Ephedra, Purshia & Fallugia. Small trees to ca. 5 m tall; leaves
broadly rounded at apices, neither shiny nor coriaceous, glabrous
except for a few hairs at junctions of petiole with both stem &
blade; flowers appearing before the leaves, reddish-purple.
