Disturbed transitional (mesophyllous) forest. Common locally.

Description
Tree or shrub to 3 m tall; corolla and calyx fuschia, anthers and styles white, inner surface of petals turning white; ants on buds;, bees (probably Trigonidae) visiting flowers. Common locally.
