Moffat County, Colorado, USA
Artemisia campestris L
Danforth Hills, 10 miles &225 degrees from Maybell,
Colorado, 40°24'59.09"N. 108° 13'39.98" W. at 6300 ft
elevation, semi-active sand dunes
Shaded plants growing inside bitterbrush plants. Some lower
cauline leaves with petioles 2-4 cm long. Plants growing
away from bitterbrush shrubs had sessile and short-petiolate
leaves (Goodrich 28937). The longer petioles of shaded
plants are indicated to be induced by shading, and this
feature is indicated to be of no taxonomic value.
