North side of Tunk Lake, south side of Maine Route 182, about 5.5 miles west of Unionville Road, 6.5 miles west of Cherryfield. Elevation about 210 ft. Acidic peat, sand, and gravel with numerous smoothed glacial boulders; seepage margins, glacial lake. Littoral zone, lake margin, bordered by boreal conifer forest - white cedar swamp mix, dominated locally by Juncus filiformis, Eriocaulon aquaticum, Car ex lenticularis, Myrica gale, Ilex verticillata. Local, occasional small perennial herb with 3 yellow petals per flower; in wet gravel and sand east and west of boat ramp, with Lycopodium inundatum, Drosera intermedia and Utricularia comuta.
