rte 15. Cloud forest vegetation on steep
slopes.
One large population in moist depress-
ion among gingers. Shrubs to 8 feet tall.
Corollas white; anthers bla6k. Phyllar-
ies greenish white. Fruiting heads
fairly dry at maturity (more like C.
aurlnamense). Stems with dark orange sap
when cut.
