BASTROP CO.: common in strip of sandyland herbaceous
vegetation along road through loblolly pine - post oak forest
on soils mapped as deep, moderately well drained, neutral to
slightly acid fine sand (Patilo Series, Grossarenic
Paleustalfs), on gently rolling upland underlain by Carrizo
Sand, both sides of Hoppy Springs Road ca. 0.7 airmiles
SSE of jet. St. Rt. 21 and F. M. 1441 NE of Bastrop, at
N30°08'28.5”, W097°13’20.5”. Bastrop State Park.
Smithville NW Quadrangle. Elev. 460-470 ft. Area burned
during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011.
Associates included Aphanostephus skirrhobasis, Chamaecrista
fasciculata, Chrysopsis pilosa, Cnidoscolus texanus, Commelina erecta,
Coreopsis basalis, Cyperus spp., Euphorbia corollata, Helianthemum
georgianum, Helianthus debilis, Monarda punctata, Oenothera
botanical garden	heterophylla, palafoxia hookeriana, Phlox drummondii, Phytolacca
americana, Scutellaria drummondii.
