In understory. Dense, tall, partly deciduous seasonal forest with Cactaceae, Syagrus coronata, Bombacaceae, Tillandsia, and other terrestrial and epiphytic bromeliads. Many species wilted due to stress.

Description
Treelet 2.5 m tall, with few, excurrent branches and corky pale bark. Calyx and corolla (1 seen) dull yellow. Fruit pale green. Leaves dark green above, pale green as fruit below. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
