Chuquisaca: Azurduy. c. 1 km NW of summit on road
across Cerro Viscachani from Tarvita to Azurduy. Alt.
2700 m.
Steep open hillsides covered in rough grassland with
patches of scrub in deep quebradas. Locally frequent on
steep grassy mountain slopes over rocks.
Short-lived perennial with basal rosette of leaves. Stems
erect, reddish brown. Flowers blackish.
