  • Description

    Tree, 4 m tall. Plants dioecious. Male catkins in all stages of flowering, covered by long, white trichomes (= hairs). Flowers densely placed in catkins (= aments), subtended by a black scale, the stamens likely two per flower, the filaments long, white, the anthers yellow when young. Leaf buds just starting to open.
