    In narrow protected dry wash. Burnt slopes surrounded by intact Artemisia tridentata scrub and Pinus jeffreyi woodland. Grzed scrub of Artemisia tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus, Symphoricarpus rotundifolius. Burnt slopes dominated by Hesperostipa comata. Occasional. Soft pumice soil with occasional rhyoltic and granitic outcrops.
