    Terrestrial herb, 40-60 cm tall. Abaxial leaf surface uniformly green to red. Internodes of stem swollen. Calyx green. Corolla campanulate; white with purple lobes; throat with yellow patch at base of lower surface. Fruit a dorsally dehiscent capsule.
