On gentle hill slope in pasture, in full sun, in well-drained soil of Kalahari sand
and loam. Native and common. Grassland with Hermannia, Elyonurus.
Perennial herb of 10cm high. Leaves simple, glabrous, margins entire. Flower
corolla yellow, rotate.
