Stream bank with gentle slope, in pasture, in partial shade to lull sun, in well-
drained soil of alluvial sand. Native and common. Forest and savanna with
Acacia, Diospyros, Garcinia.
Perennial scrambler of 3m and DBH 5cm, stems with four spines per node.
Leaves simple, hairy, whorled, light green, margins entire.
