Terrestrial; rhizomes ca. 8 cm long. Uncommon. [Belize Ecosystem:
Strongly seasonal, deciduous broadleaf lowland riparian shrubland in
hills]. On hills on south side of river, forest dominant with Licania
hypoleuca, understory fairly open and with Rubiaceae, Schippia
concolor.
