Young woods and brushy areas, with Populus
deltoides, Acer saccharinum. A. negundo.
Fraxinus pennsvlvanica var. pennsvlvanica.
Slender shrub 4 m. tall; bark smooth, dark
brown, lenticellate. Ripe fruit purple-black.
