Wet places along a small stream in a young olive orchard
eight miles north of Oroville, the plants with many branches two
feet long. Abundant in waste ground in both wet and .dry soil.
In this part of California used as a cover crop in orchards, as it
makes a good growth and the roots are usually well supplied with
nitrogen gathering nodules.
