Epiphyte in tree, about 2 m. above the ground, the
rhizome covered by a large mass of brown roots; leaves
scattered; the midrib green, with a purplish-gray
longitudinal line at the abaxial side extending from the
base to 1/3 of the total leaf length and with a similar
but shorter lomgitudinal line (to 5 cm. long) at the
adaxial side. In vegetation near margin of; river.
Cachoeira Camaraua, about 3 km. south of mouth of Riv.
Camopi,- 3° 10' N, 52° 19* w, French Guiana. Only 1 seen.
