Family Sapindaceae Common Name Genip, Kenip Description Tree with fruit. Fruit has a slimy peach colored pulp. Location/Habitat Old Bight, found in a roadside yard next to and south of the Pass Me Not Bar. Latitude 24°1322N Longitude 75°2304W Uses/Comments Fruit pulp is edible, very tasty, and is a favorite, when in season (late August). Leaves are boiled and the decoction taken for high blood pressure, fevers, and flu. Often added in Bush Tea. Not previously listed for Cat Is. (Correll & Correll, 1982). Collector(s) Laurel R.
