Location
Brazil. Acre. Santa Rosa do Purus Mun. Rio Chambuiacu, right-bank tributary of Rio Purus defining border with Peru. Water 1-2m below maximum, ca. 30m across at mouth but only 8m wide 3 km from mouth.

Habitat
Undulating terrain, forest regenerating from Guadua bamboo Die-back several years ago. Canopy open, relatively few trees, dense understory, many vines and lianas. Rare. Poorly drained soils.

Description
terrestrial herb. Terrestrial fern on shaded edge of forested levee, leaves 1m long, sori black. Two individuals seen. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
