FLORA. OF IDAHO Lupinus argenteus Pursh var depressus (Rydb.) Hitchc. CUSTER CO: East slope Lost River Range, Challis National Forest, vie. Doublespring Pass. Alpine grassy slope along SW side of Buck Creek and on SW ridge. Soil rocky, thin, of quartzitic origin, elevation 10,000 ft. Multi-stemmed unbranched per; basal lvs (some) present at anthesis; fls blue-violet, the banner blotch white; banner mostly glab on back; calyx asymmetrical but not spurred.
