sandy alluvium along mostly unshaded stretch of nearly
perennial creek between slopes underlain by Miocene clay
or calcareous sandstone of the Fleming Formation,
along Harvey Creek ca. 200-400 feet downstream from low
water crossing below small dam, 0.7-0.8 airmiles W to
WSW of mouth of Harvey Creek at Colorado River, near
N29°43.858’, W096°40.697\ Borden Quadrangle. Elev.
220 ft.
Associates included Amorpha fruticosa, Hydrocotyle verticillata,
Thelypteris kunthii, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Chasmanthium latifolium,
Carex emoryi, Comus drummondii, Platanus occidentalis, Sesbania
drummondii, S. vesicaria, Paspalum notatum, Rhynchospora colorata,
Equisetum laevigatum, Andropogon glomeratus, Strophostyles helvola,
Samolus valerandi, Bacopa monnieri, Eleocharis 32901, Steinchisma
hians, Verbena brasiliensis.
