In a savanna on a steep, N-facing hillside in a small valley, in gravelly loam (Reward shaly loam, 30 to 50 percent slopes; fine-loamy, mixed, superactive, thermic Pachic Haploxerolls). With Amsinckia menziesii var. intermedia, Bromus diandrus, B. madritensis, Claytonia parviflora var. parviflora, Ericameria linearifolia, Galium aparine, Juniperus califomica, Marah sp., Phacelia distans (?), Pholistoma membranaceum, Quercus douglasii, Ribes quercorum, Solanum umbelliferum and Thysanocarpus laciniatus. To the S. side of Rt. 58, around O.lmi E. of the San Luis Obispo County line, about 6.4mi W. of the intersection with Reward Road & about 12.35mi W. of the intersection with Rt. 33 S. of McKittrick.
