Wisconsin: Grant County Bignoniaceae Catalpa speciosa (Warder ex Barney) Warder ex Engelm. Young weedy woods of Acer negundo, Ulmus americana, Celtis occidentalis, and Juglans nigra; with Cornus racemosa, Corylus americana, Elaeagnus umbellata, Hackelia virginiana, Lonicera Xbella, Ribes missouriense, Rubus occidentalis, Saponaria officinalis, Smilax hispida>.Toxicodendron radicans ssp. negundo, and Zanthoxylum americanum. Locally established as an escape, apparently reproducing from seed. Sixty-two catalpas counted in an area stretching for 75 yds. along the rd., forming a colony consisting of very small to large saplings and young trees plus three old flowering trees.
