Grassy and weedy, level (slightly undulating in the area of old sloughs) terraces, the understory depauperate, w/ Urtica dioica ssp. gracilis, Thalictrum dasycarpum, Aster ontarionis, Rudbeckia laciniata, all rare, Bottomland hardwood forest (very immature, the dominant tree the naturalized Catalpa speciosa), dried sloughs, and grassy marshes at the river's edge, the whole area now pastureland, along the SUGAR RIVER at Deca- tur Road bridge. 0.8 mi.
