  • Description

    Tree, 9 m. tall, 8 cm. diameter. Tree, 9 m. tall, 8 cm. diam.; eaves coriaceous, dark green, slightly shiny above, green below, veins curved irregularly; pedicels, calyx and outer side of outer petals green, inner side and inner petals creamish. Young branches and pedicels with light green lenticels; petioles green; young branches and leaves glabrescent. Flowers with sweet scent. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

The spatial extent of Quistococha as provided by Google Maps appears to be too small; instead, treated this locality as an undefined area to ensure that uncertainty radius will encompass the entire area considered to be Quistococha. Used the Google Maps - Measure Distance Tool to find the linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the nearest named city, Santo Tomas (2970 m), then halving this distance. Input coordinates, coordinate source (locality description), datum (WGS84), coordinate precision (0.00001 degrees), extent of named place (1485.0 m), measurement error (10 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find uncertainty radius.
