    Tall, vertically-branched, apparently terrestrial tree with a few long stems/branches, the leaves at their ends. Leaflets dark green above, pale yellow-green below. Inflorescence with 5 branches, these +/- spreading horizontally from a very short and thick main axis. Head +/- oriented upwards, in all about 2 inches (c. 5 cm) across including calyptrate. Buds dark pink. Filaments yellow-green; anthers beginning to darken. Carpels 16-18; prior to anthesis both disk and the thick stylar column cream. Occasional.
