Habitat
Big open lagoon, closed off from sea behind tall sand dunes. Black swans and other birds nesting there. Extensive, slightly sloping silty flats behind dunes, with very low herbaceous vegetation nearest water, taller herbaceous vegetation dominated by sedges near high water mark. Silty flats.

Description
Abundant from damp lower slopes with Eleocharis parvula (Kw 10578) to dry higher slopes, grading up in height up the slope (this specimen from the lower slope). Also with Eleocharis (Kw 10580) and C. odoratus.
