    East aspect. Subalpine shrubland of Symphoricarpos oreophilus, Artemisia tridentata var. vaseyana, Ceanothus velutinus, Populus tremuloides, surrounding forest of Abies bifolia, Valeriana sitchensis, Delphinium nelsonii, Allium smillimum, Taraxacum officinale, Mertensia cilliata, Poa bulbosa, and Poa pratensis. Abundant for site. Deep gravelly soil.
