Hwy. #17 ca. 2 miles directly east of the turnoff to Salama. Steep graded rocky banks and seepage area surrounded by oak- pine woodland at an elev. of 4600 ft. Erect arching shrub to 1.5 m. tall. Corolla white or infrequently pale pink. Large anthers red-pink with yellow appendages; small anthers and appendages yellow. Capsules deep red-sepals spreading or ascending.
