On south-facing slope. With Pinus, Hackelia, Lupinus and Eriogonum. In rocky (pumice) soil.

Description
Plants annual; sepals purple at anthesis; petals not showy, isomorphic, with wide yellowish claw, whitish blade and purple veins; mature fruits arcuate, 1.5-2 mm wide, flattened parallel to the septum; seeds uniseriate, winged distally. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower, Fruit.
