elevation. Growing in an altitudinal belt
between A. patula ssp. platyphylla and A.
viscida ssp. viscida. On the north fork of
the Feather River. Growing with Diplacus
grandiflorus and Quercus kellofigii. Flowers
white. Shrubs to 8 ft. high scattered through-
out the area on granitic soil.
