Bobbink and Atkins
Small tree, 6 m. tall, picturesque, branching from near
ground, with spreading-arching branches. Voucher for wood
specimen, MADw. Wood specimen from upper branch.
Nearly in full bloom and spectacular, the tree covered with
flowers, but without leaves. Flowers held upwards, lightly but not
very pleasantly fragrant; petals white within, the outside nearly
white at tip and dark pink toward the base; anthers dark pink;
style with pink line on outside, the inside (stigmatic surface)
white. The same tree collected on 31 Oct. 2011 under no. 58210,
then with leaves and a few old fruits.
