Shrub with cream colored petals and blue stamens. Fruits are
immature and green, but eventually ripen to a red or orange.
Arthur's Town, behind the Catholic Church in Vernon's overgrown
cultivated field.

Fruits are used in many culinary dishes as a spice. I.eaves are placed on
boils with some grease to "bring them to head." Not previously listed as
occurring on Cat Island (Correll & Correll, 1982).
