Acer saccharinum L.
Small, young street tree, 5 m. tall, 15 cm. in diameter;
stems characteristic light gray; year-old twigs red-brown,
with only faint odor when scraped. Bracts around flowers
reddish brown; stigmas pink or white in anthesis, mostly
a few days after anthesis and now brown.
