Grove of spontaneous small trees on roadside, Betula
populifolia, Populus tremuloides.
41°02'18"N, 78°23'56"W. alt. 360 m.
Small tree; bark smooth, white, with black triangles where
branches attached. Same population and perhaps the same
tree collected in flower on 29 April 2008 under Nee 55598
(distributed to MEXU, MO, NY, PE). Aments nodding in
fruit, green with some dull purplish brown on insolated side,
