Wetland, west of Walt Whitman High School. Large canopy tree approx.
18.29 m tall. Broken twigs emit strong wintergreen scent. Catkins
yellow-green. In an Oak-Hickory Mesic Woodland with Acer rubrum
Lindera benzoin, Prunus, Erythronium americanum, Robinia
pseudoacacia, Polygonatum pubescens, Vinca major, and Rosa
multiflora.
