elevation ca 4200'. Abundant along road with
Acer glabrum, Salix scouleriana, Abies lasio-
carpa, Ficea engelmannii, Abies grandis,
Physocarpus malvaceus. Shrub to ca 3 m tall.
Soil moist, coarse, derived from quartz i.te of
the Belt Series of Precambrian rocks. T41N R6E
