Heller, collector February 2, 1914 Cañón of Big Chico creek east of Chico, where it is one of the principal trees, many of them quite large. Associated with it are Quercus lobata, Platanus racemosa and Populus Fremontii the oak and sycamore being more plentiful. 02472593
