Habitat
soil pH 5.5. xeric, mixed oak-hickory woodlands along moderately steep shore of lake, with granitoid boulders down to shore line; dominant trees include loblolly pine, post oak, blackjack oak, shagbark hickory, Florida maple, red cedar with needle grass and little blue stem thinly scattered about in the herbaceous layer.
