Lake IL 7.5 min. quadrangle. [Coordinate Datum;
WGS84/NAD83]. Elevation 860 - 880 feet. Soil
consists of glacial till and boulders.
Successional forageland and degraded dry-mesic
savanna with Daucus carota, Poa pratensis, Rhamnus
cathartica. Flowers coral-red, showy; infrequent, local
shrub 2 meters tall and 2 meters wide.
