Calamusplatyacanthoides Merr.	“may song”
Stems solitary, 15 m long. Sheaths 3.5 cm diameter, densely
covered with horizontal, flat, yellow spines; petioles absent; rachis
200 cm long with 20 regularly arranged pinnae per side, the basal
ones small and swept back across the sheaths; cirri 1.2 m long.
