Description
Petals broadly obovate, cuneate by a broad base, finely ciliolate, black-purple, claret-red at the shortly clawed base. Filaments claret-red, anthers yellow, petals rolled together to form a false tube, shrub 1 m high or less, freely branching above, the stems brittle, strict, very ericoid in aspect.
