Description
Shrubs 1-3 m. Lvs. deep green, nitid above; pale yellowish-green below. Bracts salmon-red, often green-tipped. Calyx greenish-yellow, sometimes pink-tinged. Corolla nigrescent, petals extremely deep magenta by transmitted light. Filaments pale magenta, anthers yellow.
