    Small to medium sized tree, up to 20 m high. Fl. bracts brown-green, fl. buds covered with short close white hair. Tips of buds have long brown hair protruding. Bark dark grey with numerous small white corky pustules on it. Bark when cut light pink with fairly prominent longitudinal rays. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
