Basidia 12—20 x 4—6 jj,, urniform, with 6 sterigmata, 3—4 ¡x long.
Spores 3—4,5 x 2,5—3,5 ¡x, broadly ovate, basally attenuated, smooth, often
1-guttulate. Hyphae 3—4 n in diam., distinctly inflated at the clamps
(6—10 (x), thin-walled, in part incrusted. The tissue is rich in oil-drops.
— Nathorst-Windahl has noticed that old specimens have the same
characteristic odour of vanilla as Sistotrema confluens Pers. ex Fr. (= S.
sublamellosum [Bull.] Quél.).
I have compared this specimen very carefully with a Bourdot sample
of Grandinio muscicola (Hb. Bourdot n. 17793) and found them to agree
in all respects.
It is by no means surprising that this species has been described in
so different genera as Hydnum (Grandinia), Poria and Sistotrema, for
Tr&okisporcu	c-o Ice Ünlrs.")
