In moist tropical cove forest in deep shade, on slopes in lower part of cove.

Description
Treelet or shrubs 1-3 m tall; leaves dark green, shiny above, lighter beneath and when young; fruit red-orange becoming black; flowers pastel magenta. Phenology of specimen: Pickle.
