Cespitose, dirty green in color, not slimy; vegetative cells 40-60 mic. in diameter, 2-5
times as ¡long as broad; chloroplastids two to six in number, more or less longitudinal;
fruiting ceH* somewhat swollen, short, unequal; zygote elliptical, with smooth, brown
outer wall, 40-60 mic. in diameter, about 75 mic. in length.
Stagnant pools, frozen over at time of collection.
