Growing on a stone wall, just above high water mark, with fresh
water running over it, Fort Point, San Francisco, California, Feb.,
Tufts 1-3 cm. high, filaments about .075 mm. near base, to .150
mm. in terminal cell; cells mostly 4-8 diam. long; wall thick.
